Joseph De Asis
My background is in fine arts; however I transitioned to traditional animation and worked as a background artist, for both feature films and television shows. Though I really enjoyed the actual physical process in painting, 3D was emerging as an alternative to traditional animation and so I naturally progressed to digital backgrounds. During this time I studied modelling and texturing with Gnomon and I have since worked with different studios and to date have shipped several game titles.
All I can say really is when it comes to 3D modeling, it's my passion and it never feels like work. What I enjoy most is the challenge of creating characters, especially capturing a photo- realistic style.
